QUEER AND MUTANT FUNK CUTS (2000-2005) features 13 sexually-charged mutant queer electrofunks, sung in loud and clear Portuguese and English. These are tracks recorded between 2000 and 2005 when Tetine relocated to London from São Paulo.

The album is also a love declaration to the sounds of early 2000s Funk Carioca (Baile Funk / funk sensual) in combination with distinct marginal forms of Latin ghetto. A quirk dance album that mix electronic post-punk, old school electro, industrial, synth pop and breaks - through Kraftwerk to Afrika Bambattaa or from Bonde do Tigrão to Cicciolina.

QUEER AND MUTANT FUNK CUTS (2000-2005) features a tracklist of politically-charged / heavily bass-influenced/ queer numbers such as Tetine's underground dance micro hits "L.I.C.K My Favela" and "Zero Zero Cinco Cinco (Se Vende) a.k.a Tu so Quer Colonizar (You Just Want to Colonise) - including tropical queer mutant themes such as "Melô Do Italiano" (The Italian's Montage), "Melô Do Estudante" (Montage of The Student), "Ele é Loiro"and "55".

The music in QUEER AND MUTANT FUNK CUTS (2000-2005) speaks about betrayals, staircases, nightclubs, porn cinemas in downtown São Paulo, public sex in parks, cars, policemen, flirts, lifts and stereotyped encounters with characters/personas such as the Bearded Italian or the Blond German, the Turkish lovers and Brazilian footballers, sung in street and unashamed Brazilian Portuguese, if you know what I mean.
